We got a visit...

From the EASTER BUNNY! Last Sunday.  Lucky us!  More importantly, we got to spend the weekend in Logan with our wonderful family.  We spent Saturday night and Easter morning with Coby's family.  We woke up to a gorgeous, sunny {kinda chilly} morning and went to church with his family and enjoyed a wonderful Easter program full of beautiful music.  After church we went to my parents house where we spent the day making and devouring delicious Easter food, dying easter eggs, and hunting them down with my nieces and nephew.  The Easter bunny was even nice enough to leave us a little treat so we made a cake in his {her?} honor

...unfortunately we both forgot our cameras so I only have crappy pictures from my phone... so you'll just have to imagine the wonderfulness of the weekend rather than actually see it... We topped off the day with a round of country dance {to burn some of those easter calories} and watching Tangled... "Best Day Ever!".  Hope yours was wonderful too! Love Easter!

two things about tuesday

  1. Tuesday morning Coby took one for the team and finished off the honey smacks and gave me the cinnamon LIFE.  This might not seem like a big deal but in our little home where we LOVE cinnamon LIFE it is.  I think i'll keep him :)
  2. Yesterday, we were going to Smith's Marketplace {500 East 500 South} and we were sitting at a red light on 400 East 500 South...
ME: Aren't we going to Smith's?
          COBY: uh-huh
ME: Well...isn't it up there? pointing up the block to Smith's
          COBY: Yup
ME:  Well...don't we need to go that way? Still pointing...
          COBY: ya...
ME:  So...aren't ya gonna turn here?  in my annoying, back-seat driver voice
          COBY: nope
ME: Why not? still annoyed he's not turning
COBY: smirking It's a one way street...
  1. it's a good thing i wasn't driving or we woulda been going the WRONG way up a one-way street...
  2. Thank goodness I have a husband who is patient enough to put up with me {and my backseat driving} and doesn't mock me relentlessly when I'm wrong...which happens a lot...Like I said, I'll keep him :)

life

Baby borrowed from Tyler and Amber Price

No, that is not our child, and NO thisis not an announcement/hint, nor should you be expecting one anytime in the near {or not so near} future k?  I just thought I'd tell ya'll that I really love this guy {and this picture}.  He's pretty amazing and I am UNBELIEVABLY lucky....Other than that, I really don't have anything to write about.  I kinda feel like the blog has been neglected though so...here's a quick update on what's new in our life.
  • We didn't blog at all in March, apparently we don't like that month
  • It finally stopped snowing and I wore flip-flops today.  Hallelujah!
  • I have a sudden urge to kick any med student/resident/doctor in the...shins
  • There is this kid that I turned down like a million times freshman year because he didn't know how to pick pants that fit him correctly that we pass at least once a week on our way home.  Well, he still doesn't know how to pick his pant size correctly and I'm like 96.4% sure he's in med school.  Why?! I'm not sure.  if he can't pick out pants how the heck is he gonna pick out medication? There ain't NO way he's gonna be my doctor!
  • I'm getting a degree in nutrition.
  • I have decided because I am gettting a degree in nutrition I should eat as much junk as I can before that while I can pretend to be ignorant...and afford new pants...
  • I graduate in four weeks = senioritis {it is a serious illness}
  • Coby is a wonderful husband, probably the smartest, most motivated person I know
  • we've been married for 10 months {long time, I know}.  it's been the best.
  • I am blogging instead of doing homework = senioritis
  • three new young couples moved into our ward recently so {after 10 months of living here} we can no longer be called the "new young couple of the ward"...sad i know.
  • we saw the King's Speech {PG-13 version}. It was really good.
  • and finally...
  • in exactly one month and two days we will be in DISNEYLAND! {I think our dreams are gonna come true!}
If you're still readin you should let us know...maybe we'll be more motivated to post sooner :) xoxo

COO!

So, once upon a time {aka a week and a half ago...I'm a little slow, it's called midterms}, my favorite {and only} little sister who I affectionately call Coo {Kalei has too many syllables} came and partied for a weekend with Coby and me.  We are practically NOT the same person, though people seem to think that just cause we sound identical on the phone.

While my parents were living the life of luxury at the Grand America Hotel, we lived the life of...well...poor college students havin a sleepover.

See! She's sleepin!
At least we weren't poor STARVING college students.  In fact, we pigged out the whole weekend!  We enjoyed the delicacies of Millie's, made skookies, and for breakfast Coby served his specialty, Chocolate Chip Pancakes.  YUM!

I'd tell you everything else we ate but considering I wanna be a dietitian, I'd like to maintain some kind of credibility.  We also did girl stuff like go shopping and paint our nails.

For some reason Coby just doesn't seem to get into that kind of stuff.  Go figure... Pretty much we had a blast.  We had so much fun that I forgot to take lots of pictures so I kinda improvised.  Hopefully our noisy heater didn't scare her off and she'll come back and visit us again!
 Love ya sis!

"You got Jimmered!..."

So you may have noticed (and Leisa has commented) that I, Coby Price, don't frequently post on our blog.  I say it's because I sound like a dork when words come out of my mouth or fingers...and that Leisa is just that good.  Anyway, I figured that this was a very "Man-blog" subject to write about.  So after battling with Picasa and this dang site for about and hour and a half, I finally got the pictures to show up and I started writing.  With that said, here it goes....
Wednesday night we attended quited possibly the best game of basketball I have been to...maybe I'm biased, but I don't care.  The BYU vs. San Diego St. game was awesome!  Oh, and by the way Jimmer Fredette is just as good as everyone has said.  He freakin scored with a triple team in his face.  You gotta be kidding me!  So all you Jimmer haters can keep on hatin and he'll keep on scorin :)  Anyway, I'm straying from the topic...we got tickets cause my dad is absolutely genius and bought some $10 tickets over a month ago...thanks Pops!  I mean, we were 10 rows from the ceiling, but in the Marriot Center, there's no bad seat.  That place got rockin too.  It was so loud half the time that I had to yell just so Leis could hear me.  The hi-light of the night was Jimmer hitting about a 25 foot shot at the buzzer.  By the time the game was over, I had lost my voice...heck, I lost that at half-time!  Even Leisa enjoyed herself.  So thanks Mom and Dad for the tickets, and thanks Jimmer for droppin 43 on thed #4 team in the nation!!  March Madness here we come!!

That's us on the left (if you didn't know ;p) and that the folks...oh and that's the court after BYU smoked a top 5 team...just sayin...
...by the way, this picture was taken on a camera zoomed all the way in through a pair of binoculars...yeah, that's the man, the myth, the legend...

identity crisis

So here in the Price apartment we are having an identity crisis...well mostly me, but maybe Coby too?  Anyway, here's the problem.  I grew up in Logan right? Right.  So, that would make me a Utah State fan right? Right (GO AGGIES!) But then I thought I was a smarty pants and decided to attend the crappy lovely establishment known as the University of Utah for my higher education, good move huh?  So now I have two Utah schools on my list. Well here's the kicker, I married Coby ya? No, that's not the kicker! The kicker is that his family happens to L-O-V-E BYU!  So I've been watching a lot of BYU lately... then his papa bought us tickets to the BIG game on Wednesday against San Diego State.  Well, I can't just go to the game without fitting in right?  that would be extremely embarrassing!  So Coby and I decided to invest in these...
Cool Huh? (don't tell my family, they might disown me...) But now I'm just not sure who to cheer for anymore.  I'm pretty sure there is a law in Utah against cheering for all three schools...thus, the identity crisis.  Really people, its an issue.  We will discuss Coby's identity crisis later...we need help!

Awwkwaard...

So yesterday, I'm working in the lab right? Just pipetting away (with my back to the door, an important detail), when in walks the IT guy to check on Nancy's computer (Nancy pretty much runs the lab) and here's what went down...

IT guy checks on the computer then starts talking to Nancy about how school is so hard and work is so hard (Well ya probably could work less if you spent less money on body piercings...)and he has forever till he graduates...blah blah blah. Somehow conversation turns to me (remember, I'm minding my own business with my pipette and my back to the world)

IT Guy:  blah blah blah... Unless you're smart like Leisa
Nancy: Ya she is smart
Me: silent
IT Guy:  and cute too!
Nancy: ya, she is pretty cute
Me: still silent
IT Guy:  Too bad she's married
Nancy:  laughs, Ya
Me: uh huh (wishing he would stop talking...like five minutes ago)
IT Guy:  Wait, what am I saying? I'm married!
Nancy:  uh...YA!
Me: YUP (and you have a tongue ring...gross)
IT Guy:  But sorry Leisa, she's the best, you can't beat her
Me: that's ok (since I wouldn't even remotely consider thinking about trying you psycho!  I'M MARRIED!)

...AWKWARD....
Moral of the story?  Don't work in a lab and stay away from men with tongue rings!
Happy Friday!
