It snowed today...like really snowed. It shouldn't be snowing for two reasons. A. because it is April and it is spring and there are flowers in bloom! It shouldn't snow on the flowers! B. because a snowflake went UP my nose! I couldn't believe it. We were walking home from the library and I sniffed and a snowflake went up my nose. Ya know that feeling when you go in a swimming pool and water goes up your nose? It was kinda like that...except cold...really cold. the moral of the story is it should not snow in April but if it does DO NOT sniff if you're walking in the snow because you risk a snowflake flying up your nose.

Good Deeds

Walkin home from school today I had a little testimony builder. There was a car on the side of the road...with a flat tire...and little Asian woman in the driver seat looking very distraught. I was on my way over to see if she was okay when a brand new Camero pulled up behind her and a man wearing very nice clothes walked up to her window and asked if he could change her tire for her. I thought it was great! Here's this guy who obviously has ample money and comfort and he stops and takes off his nice jacket and shoes and changes this lady's tire. It made me smile. It just goes to show that no matter what our circumstance or station in life we can always find something good to do for someone else...those darn Boy Scouts were right all along.

I know, I know...I look young
So sad story...well kinda. I went to rent my slip for my WEDDING DRESS on Saturday so I could get it hemmed so I walk into the dress store and tell them I need a slip. Now I know it's prom season but I haven't been to a high school dance in three years people...THREE YEARS. So anyway, I tell the girl at the dress store that I need a slip and what does she say? She asks what dance it is for!! My mom busts up and my face probably turned the color of a very ripe tomato but I simply said...actually, I'm getting married. To which she says three classic words, "You look so young!" Needless to say I got the slip and left. Everyone (including Coby) says that when I'm 50 I'll love it because I'll look so young and that's great...but I'm not 50! Don't I look even a little bit older than 18? I'm almost 21! But Coby's probably right. One day when I look 10 years younger I supposed I will have the last laugh, until then Senior Prom here I come!

Early Morning Spiritual Extravaganza!

So this morning Coby and I decided to get our bums out of bed and go do baptisms for the dead at the Salt Lake Temple with our ward...it was really early. It was super nice though because I discovered that I hadn't desecrated temple garments! ya see...a couple of weeks ago I went to do baptisms and a nice...very asian...lady helped me get my clothes. She gave me this new underwear but I couldn't really understand her so I wasn't sure. Well, I went a couple of times after that and the new underwear was nowhere to be found! So I, thinking logically of course, thought she had given me the underwear for endowed sisters. Uh Oh! So I tell Coby and all he has to say is.."thats really bad Leis!" Oh Great! So I was a little worried about the whole temple-underwear situation but this morning a nice...english...lady helped me and gave me the "new underwear" and SURPRISE! It really is new underwear...it was a huge relief...and it totally made my day...that and the story Coby's gonna tell :)
My turn! So on our way out of the temple we took the scenic route...aka the hallways that take you to the parking garage instead of out to temple square. When we went out automatic double doors I bent down to tie my shoes and BAM! a side door I didn't even know existed pops open and a guy in a suit with an ear-piece jumps out, mumbles something, then disappears again! Talk about random! Then maybe a minute later he does it again, but now there's two of them and they both disappear again! Now I was curious...what the heck were they doing?! Then as we started to walk down the hallway the doors at the end popped open and another ear-piece wearing suit tells us to get to one side of the hallway. What is going on here?! The answer came very soon as a golf cart, you know the fancy ones that the apostles get to ride, pulls into view with someone in the passenger seat. Guess who was on it...go ahead and guess...yep, sure was none other than ELDER HALES!!! How sweet is that?! I was pretty excited about it and told just about everyone. I'm still a little curious where that random secret-side door goes to, but for now, seeing an apostle has quelled that curiosity...for now.
All in all, it was a pretty eventful temple trip. We'll so grateful to have the temple so close and to be able to go and share in the blessings of the Gospel. Church is true, the book is blue, and Moroni is still on the ball. :)
